At this year’s Disability Festival, we focused o At this year’s Disability Festival, we focused on “Celebrating Abilities in Disability” — a powerful reminder that strength, creativity, and resilience exist in every form. The Disability Festival honors the voices, talents, and contributions of the disability community, showing the world that ability comes in many beautiful ways.
Inclusion isn’t just a goal — it’s a mindset. Let’s continue to uplift, empower, and celebrate every day!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke up, performed, participated, or simply shared in the joy. You made this celebration unforgettable 🙏💫

Last week we teamed up with @medlifemovement to do Last week we teamed up with @medlifemovement to do health assessments for our children who we identified as malnourished or currently taking medication.
From learning how to brush their teeth, to getting their vitals checked and reviewing their medications, every child was able to receive thoughtful, personal care 🙌🏼
This partnership allowed us to take a deeper look at the immediate medical and nutrition needs of a specific group of children within our larger community, while continuing to support all the kids and families we serve.
We’re grateful to Medlife and our dedicated team for making this possible.

This week our team is in the Hai district ensuring This week our team is in the Hai district ensuring our children with wheelchairs have the proper fit and positioning to support their growth, health, and independence! Caregivers and local staff were also trained on proper positioning and maintenance. A properly fitted wheelchair helps with posture, prevents pain and pressure sores, and even supports things like breathing and digestion. Small adjustments can make a big difference!

At BCC we are happy to announce that we continue w At BCC we are happy to announce that we continue with the expansion of our program! We are opening a new Young Adult Vocational Training Center in the Hai District.

The Community from Hai Mjini Parish visited BCC back in July. They learned about our programs, visited different centers and were immediately on board to bring this program to their home.

As of September 1st, they have officially launched the program. The celebrations started with a Sunday Service in which they got to meet some of the young adults from our Moshi program and learned what they are doing. This was followed by a week of preparations which included and orientation to the families of the new young adults, and getting to know each of them.

We are happy that the program ins starting with 12 young adults and 2 job coaches that will help lead them in their training.

We feel grateful for the opportunity to expand and continue with our mission of fostering the development of all children and young adults who are living with intellectual disabilities. 🙏🏼
